Branding for Dallas–Fort Worth businesses that are better than they look.
New Journey Designs is a branding studio in Denton, Texas, working across the Metroplex. Logos, identity systems, and the words that go with them — priced on this page, and made by the same people who build the website they end up on.
Every price here is current today and subject to change. Once your project is quoted and signed, that number is locked — whatever this page says later.
Your logo is not your brand.
A logo is a signature. It’s the shortest possible way to write your name, and you do need one — but it isn’t the thing doing the work.
Your brand is what somebody expects from you before you say a word. It’s the guess a stranger makes in the two seconds between seeing your van in a driveway and deciding whether to write the number down. Nobody chooses to form that impression. It forms anyway — out of the colors, the type, and whether all of it looks like it came from the same company.
That guess has a price attached, and it’s the part owners underrate. Two firms can do work of the same standard and quote the same job at very different numbers, and the one charging more often isn’t better. It just reads as the kind of outfit that finishes what it starts.
Which is why a brand is a system rather than a picture: the mark, a palette with real values instead of approximations, a type scale, rules for the things you make every week, and — in the version that matters most — the words. Brands never drift on one big decision. They drift because somebody needed a flyer by Thursday and eyeballed the green.
Three ways to do this, and the honest difference between them.
Branding is priced and scheduled on its own, separately from website work — it’s separate thinking, and it deserves its own conversation.
Starter Mark
$1,500
One to two weeks
A logo you own outright, and everything you need to use it.
- A primary mark plus a stacked and icon version
- Color palette and type choices
- Every file format you’ll be asked for
- Two rounds of revisions
Honest about what this is: a mark, not a whole identity.
Start hereThe usual answer
Identity System
$3,500
Three to four weeks
The mark plus the system around it, so it still looks like you on the tenth thing you make.
- Everything in the Starter Mark
- Full palette with accessible pairings
- A type scale for headings and body
- Usage rules — spacing, sizing, what not to do
- Social profile and cover kit
- A short guide anyone on your team can follow
Brand & Messaging
$6,000 and up
Five to six weeks
The look and the words — what most people mean when they say they need a brand.
- Everything in the Identity System
- Positioning — who you’re for and what you stand against
- The one-liner, and the story under it
- Naming, if you need one
- Messaging your team can actually repeat
Those are delivery windows, not deadlines. There are no turnaround commitments on the rounds inside a brand project — the work moves at the speed of the decisions it needs. A mark you’ll still like in five years isn’t one anybody hurried.
Booked with a website, branding is 10% off. One set of conversations, one set of decisions — you shouldn’t pay twice for the same thinking. The full price list, with the fine print →

Brands we’ve built — and one we knew better than to touch.
Client work and our own, each carried start to finish by the same team — which is why the brand and the website never argue.
My Heart Soil
Built in-house from nothing. The heart-and-leaf mark, the deep greens and the serif type were designed as one system, so everything downstream came from the same hand. The case study →
Switch Commerce
A full rebrand for a Texas payments company, plus the design system that has kept more than a decade of work one brand. The case study →
Cactus Paint Co.
They arrived with an identity that was already good, so we didn’t redraw it. We shaped the messaging and built the site that finally showed the brand at full size. The case study →
Radius
Named and branded from scratch before a screen was drawn. Internal tools get used like furniture; giving this one an identity is what made staff want to open it. The case study →
A branding company in Denton, working the whole Metroplex.
We’re based in Denton, at the top of Dallas–Fort Worth, which puts a great deal of the Metroplex inside an easy drive: Argyle, Highland Village, Lewisville, Flower Mound, Roanoke, Trophy Club and Keller close by, then Grapevine, Southlake, Coppell and Carrollton, and on out to Frisco, Plano, McKinney and Allen, Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington and Irving.
How a brand project runs day to day is your call — in person, over Zoom, or on the phone, with a shared project page holding the work either way. If you’d rather see a mark at full size in a room somewhere in North Texas, that’s easy to arrange. The biggest thing is that we’re here, and we’re here for you.
Branding and the website are usually the same conversation, and we do both. Web design across Dallas–Fort Worth →
Questions people actually ask.
What does a logo cost in Dallas–Fort Worth?
Ours start at $1,500 for a Starter Mark, $3,500 for a full Identity System, and $6,000 for Brand & Messaging. Around the Metroplex you will find marks for a couple of hundred dollars and marks for tens of thousands; the cheap end is usually a stock shape with your name beside it.
What is the difference between a logo and a brand?
A logo is a signature, the shortest way to write your name. A brand is what somebody expects from you before you say a word: the mark, but also the colors, the type, and the promise the whole arrangement makes. You can buy a logo in an afternoon; a brand is a set of decisions.
How long does a branding project take?
A Starter Mark is usually one to two weeks, an Identity System three to four, and a full Brand & Messaging project five to six. Those are delivery windows rather than deadlines, and there is no turnaround clock on the rounds inside them.
Do I own the files?
Yes, outright, on final payment: source files, exports, and every format you will be asked for. Nothing is held back and there is no license to renew. The one caveat is anything licensed from somebody else, a paid typeface being the usual case.
What if I already have a logo?
Then we may well tell you to keep it. Cactus Paint Co. arrived with an identity that was already good, and the right call was restraint: we shaped the messaging and built the site that finally showed it. If your mark is sound and the problem is that nobody sees it, branding is not what you need.
Can you do the branding and the website together?
That is the usual arrangement, and branding is 10% off when booked with a website. It is genuinely less work when both happen at once, so you should not pay twice for the same thinking. The two stay priced and scheduled separately.
Does your business look as good as it actually is?
Tell us what you do and who you do it for. We’ll come back with a straight answer about which of these three you need — including when it’s the cheapest one, or none of them.
